Harvest Point is a multi-generational church that deeply desires & is taking strides towards pouring into the future generation of our church and the “big C” church.
We have two sections of our children’s ministry. Children newborn up to 2 years old are in our nursery, the Little Saplings class where they can nap, eat a snack, and play in the safe care of our nursery volunteers.
Kids 2 years old through 2nd grade are our Little Harvesters class, and these kids meet in our main children’s ministry space! We love to have FUN while teaching our kids about Jesus on their unique level, and we do this through crafts, stories, games, and more.
Beyond that, we have a special ministry just for our 3rd through 5th graders. This is our Pre-Teen Ministry, these students are asked to join in our our corporate church worship, and every other week we offer a Sunday school type class just for them during the sermon, in our conference room just off of sanctuary. This is a wonderful time for them to learn about the teachings through a hands on object lesson that meets them on their level and helps them better grasp the Gospel.
We promise that from the moment your children check in on Sunday morning, that we will do everything in our power to show them the love of Jesus Christ through our actions, and through our words.
All of our children’s ministry volunteers are thoroughly scanned, background checked through the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and validated through character references to ensure maximum safety for all children.
In our Nursery, the Little Saplings are taken great care of by seasoned mamas and grandmamas. Only ladies are allowed to do diaper changes and all babies will be changed and dry upon pick up!
No child is left alone with just one adult. Volunteers are placed in a manner in which all rooms can be observed by all volunteers with full accountability.
Parent's sign their children in and fill out a child information form upon their first visit to alert staff of any allergies or special needs. Surfaces and toys are sanitized. Children's area is child proofed and regularly checked for any hazards.
All of our volunteers receive periodic training in proper practices for child care, and you can identify these volunteers by their ID badges.
If the answer is yes, we would love for you to apply to be a part of our awesome team of volunteers! Before anything else, be sure to read through our Parent Promises (above) to get a feel for what we strive to protect in all of our kid ministry areas.
